Who we are
The Agri-Business Facility for Africa (ABF) is a programme of German Development Cooperation launched in 2020 and designed as a pan-African knowledge and advisory hub. Our interdisciplinary and international team of advisors is based in Germany, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and South Africa.
We support interested development programmes, African organisations, and companies to introduce, implement, and manage tried-and-tested agribusiness trainings in large scale. In addition, we advise on demand on digitalisation and sustainable anchorage of these trainings and develop innovative solutions for and with our partners. During COVID-19, we further improved our digital advisory portfolio and can now proudly call us “digital pioneers” in the agribusiness sector. Our services help to foster the knowledge, skills of rural micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSME) operating in African agro-food value chains and to unfold their potential as suppliers, investors, and employers, and to manage risks.
Your objectives and what we do
Your objective is to improve performance and skills of such rural MSMEs and their professional organisations? Please contact us. We manage and provide knowledge, approaches, tools, and networks in 3 areas:
1. Scaling agribusiness training
We advise you on the adaptation, implementation, and management of tried-and-tested agribusiness training courses in line with your objectives.
2. Vocational training for agribusiness
We upgrade selected Agriculture Technical Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) institutions to train students and young professionals as multipliers for agribusiness approaches.
3. Innovative approaches
Jointly with you, we develop innovative offers, instruments, and networks for successful agribusiness and support measures.
Please contact us if you are interested in our advisory or have any questions.
